COURSE DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this course is to provide a refresher of general diagnostic neuroradiology and head and neck radiology, concentrating on cross-sectional CT, MR, and PET. The faculty are internationally known experts in the area, and will stress the approach to patients with head and neck lesions, and a range of neurologic and neurosurgical conditions. The course will cover normal anatomy, common and some uncommon diagnoses, technique, and imaging pitfalls.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Understand the common presentations of head and neck neoplasia, and their imaging appearances.• Understand the contribution of CT, MR and PET in the management ofpatients with head and neck neoplasia.• Understand the imaging appearances of neurologic and neurosurgicaldiseases including stroke, common neoplasms, and inflammatory/infectiousdiseases.• Understand the diagnoses of some common intradural spinal lesions andtheir imaging appearances.• Understand the imaging management of head and neck and intracranialemergencies.

This course is intended for general radiologists, neuroradiologists, CT, MR, or PET imaging specialists, and clinicians who request imaging studies for patients with head and neck neoplasia, and neurologic or neurosurgical diseases, or resident or fellows seeking additional review of these topics.
