COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will focus on current concepts in diagnosing sports-related conditions with MRI. This meeting will also cover treatment considerations and recent advances in arthroscopic surgery as well as post-operative imaging of joints.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
|
|
| |
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Explain the role of MRI in diagnosing disorders of the musculoskeletal system;
- Explain current concepts of imaging and treating injuries and degenerative conditions of joints;
- Explain current concepts of imaging and treating sports-related conditions of the spine, peripheral nerves and muscles;
- Understand the advantages and tradeoffs of various MRI techniques to diagnose sports-related conditions of the musculoskeletal system.
- Explain the clinically relevant anatomy, patterns of pathology, and biomechanics that are seen when imaging joint injuries.

This course is designed for radiologists and sports medicine physicians interested in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders with MRI and arthroscopy. Researchers and allied health professionals as well as others with an interest in musculoskeletal pathology may also find this course beneficial.
