COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course covers current, state-of-the-art issues in practical, advanced orthopedic imaging. The emphasis is on musculoskeletal MRI, with practical tips and pitfalls to avoid, as well as highlights on the latest developments in musculoskeletal ultrasound and multidetector CT. The faculty includes experienced musculoskeletal radiologists from academic and private practice, as well as a renowned orthopedist. Supplementing the practically-oriented lectures, dedicated time is included for viewing Educational Exhibits that have undergone a rigorous peer review process. Knowledgeable faculty will be available to discuss the Educational Exhibits in an informal setting. Ample opportunity for dynamic interactions with faculty is provided throughout the course.
PURPOSE OF THE COURSE
At the completion of this course, the registrants should have updated knowledge of many facets of musculoskeletal imaging (with an emphasis on MRI), including a clinical orthopedic perspective. Each registrant will be introduced to and/or updated on the following topics:
